Waterloo - Alan A. Cardinale, 61, of Waterloo, died Tuesday (January 27, 2015) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. In keeping with Alan's request, there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 31) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA, 02241-7005 or American Diabetes Assoc., 6390 Fly Rd., 2nd Floor, E. Syracuse, NY, 13057. Alan was born May 13, 1953 in Waterloo, the son of Albert J. and Catherine A. Gringeri Cardinale. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School. Alan, later, graduated from Empire State College. He was employed with Sears for over 35 years, until he retired from the company. Recently he was employed as a sales representative for AAB Associates in Buffalo. He was a former member of Seneca County Home Builders Association. One of his passions in life was music. He play with various local music groups, one in particular was the Four C's, in the 1970s. He is survived by wife of 22 years,Sherry Ross Cardinale; sons, Matthew (Nicole Hagadorn) Cardinale of Seneca Falls and Daniel (Erin ) Kosienski of Waterloo; daughter, Heidi (Michael Yip) Kosienski of Syracuse; his father, Albert J. Cardinale of Waterloo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; his dog and best friend, Mr. Big. Alan was predeceased by his mother, Catherine A. Cardinale.
