Seneca Falls - Jack C. Easton, 66, of Seneca Falls, passed away on Friday (December 26, 2014) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, with his loving family by his side.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the Seneca Falls Spring Brook Cemetery in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Strong Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611.
Jack was born on July 6, 1948 in Lowville, NY, to the late Reginald and Bernice Consaul Easton. He was a graduate of Beaver River Central Schools, received his Bachelors from SUNY Fredonia and his Masters from Elmira College. Jack taught for 13 years in the Clyde-Savannah Elementary School before starting a long career in sales, truly enjoying the last 20 years working at MackayMitchell Envelope Company. He was often heard saying that if you do what you love, you never have to work a day in your life.
Jack had a zest for life, loved making people laugh, and could be frequently heard telling off-beat jokes to anyone that would listen (including all of the nurses and techs at Strong - have you heard the one about the thermometer??). He enjoyed playing golf, grilling on his Weber, reading, playing his guitar and listening to the Beatles, however he would drop everything in a moment's notice if it meant he was able to spend time with his family. Jack was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather always putting his family first.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cynthia Easton; daughters, Bethany Morrison of Seneca Falls, NY and Courtney Easton of Washington, DC; granddaughter, Alexis Morrison; sister, Ann (David) Repak of Temple, NH; mother-in-law, Shirley Boykin of Ithaca, NY; brothers-in-law, Scott Boykin of Freeville, NY and Charles (Madonna) Boykin of Gig Harbor, WA; cousin, Bonnie Cornish; many nieces and nephews; and Breanna, the mouthy and lovable Siamese cat.
Jack was predeceased by his brother, David Easton and his father-in-law, Charles Boykin
