Waterloo - Joan A. Arno, 67, of Waterloo, peacefully passed away Thursday (December 25, 2014) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, with her loving husband and family by her side.
Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday (Dec. 29) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 8 p.m. Monday (Dec. 29) at the funeral home. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterloo, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Assoc., 1595 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY, 14620.
Joan was born June 27, 1947 in Geneva, the daughter of Charles and Eva Underwood Anderson. Joan was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who occasionally worked outside the home.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Carl Arno; son, William (Anne) English of Geneva; daughters, Tammy (Ray) English-Acevedo, Lorraine Arno, and Marie (Ozzie) Bates all of Waterloo; grandchildren, Bret, Tyler, Brianna, Brandon, Codie, Cierra, Bradley, Brooklyn, Asia, Aaron, Brynn, Kyle, and Brandon D.; great-grandchildren, Arian, Zaiden, Eli, Lylah, and Isabella Rose due in April of 2015; brothers, Ronald Anderson and Charles (Kathy) Anderson both of Waterloo, Gerald (Cindy) Anderson of Seneca Falls, and Robert (Betty) Anderson, of Geneva; sisters, Janet Peisher of Clifton Springs and Rosie Wandell of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by great-granddaughter, Amora Rose; and sister-in-law and best friend, Joyce Arno.
