Obituary of Mary Kidd

Waterloo - Mary Christina Larsen Kidd, 84, formerly of 3768 Watts Rd., died Tuesday (December 9, 2014) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. Friends may call 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 14) at Waterloo Baptist Church, 2701 St. Rt. 96 S., Waterloo. The funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 14) at the church. Rev. David Underwood, pastor of church, will officiate. Rev. Underwood will be assisted by Rev. Donald Cooley and Douglas Cooley. Burial will be in West Fayette Cemetery in Fayette. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Waterloo Baptist Youth Ministry Fund, P.O. Box 108, Waterloo, NY, 13165. Mary was born Nov. 15, 1930 in Fayette, the daughter of Charles and Viola M. VanNess Larsen. She was a 1948 graduate of Waterloo High School. Mary began employment at Evans Chemetics where she worked for a few years. She then worked briefly for Agway in Waterloo. Eventually Mary cleaned homes for various families in the Seneca County area. She also assisted her husband, Stan, with the family farm. Mary was an active member of West Fayette Presbyterian Church until 1965. Leaving the Presbyterian church she was an active member of Waterloo Baptist Church, where she served as youth group leader for many years with her husband. She also taught Sunday School, worked with the VBS program and worked in the nursery, for many years. She was a member of the Seneca County Ladies Home Bureau. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Stanley R.Kidd; daughters, Patricia (Willis) Carter of Lynchburg, VA, Charmaine (Rev. Donald) Cooley of Jacksonville, FL, and Juanita (John) Connors of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Angela (Montrell) Davis, Alexis (Demece) Williams, Amber Cooley, Heather (Johnnie) Jacobs, Douglas (Carrie) Cooley, Joshua (Amanda) Connors, and Johnna Connors; great-grandchildren, Malichi Davis, Amani Davis, Micah Davis, Ryne Jacobs, Ty Jacobs, Brady Jacobs, Larsen Cooley, Westin Cooley, Molly Underwood, Maddy Underwood, and expecting two great grandchildren in January and May of 2015.
