Obituary of Charles Stephan

Waterloo- Charles "Chuck" B. Stephan, 56, died Wednesday (December 3, 2014) in Huntington Living Center in Waterloo.
Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday (Dec. 5) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 6) at the funeral home. Ray Torrey, pastor of Calvary Chapel in Seneca Falls, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, N.Y. 14620 Attn: Development Office.
Chuck was born June 3, 1958 in Rome, NY, the son of Robert and Nina Pearson Stephan. Chuck was a 1976 graduate of Waterloo High School and Herkimer College. He worked for the City of Geneva and later worked as project manager for several local construction companies. Chuck was Elder at Calvary Lutheran Church, a board member of Southwick Cemetery, member of the Conservation Club, American Legion and Magee Fire Dept. He was one of the founders of the NY River Riders. He loved the outdoors, woodworking and hunting.
He is survived by his daughters, Emily Stephan of Indian Lake and Hannah Stephan of Waterloo; brother, Thomas (Kim) Stephan of Waterloo; sister, Sandra (Chris) Tarr of Waterloo; step-sisters, Deb Dubben and Dawn (Jeff) Miller, step-brother, Donald Burlew , and former wife, Cynthia Dawley Stephan of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by step-father, Harold Burlew and step-brother, Douglas Burlew.
