Clifton Springs - Lorraine Wegman Lutz, 77, of Clifton Springs, died (October 6, 2014) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic Clifton Springs, with her family by her side. There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday (Oct. 10) at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Shortsville. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Shortsville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Clifton Springs Nursing Home, Activities Department, 2 Coulter Rd., Clifton Springs, NY, 14432. Lorraine was born Feb. 6, 1937 in Henrietta, the daughter of Walter and Josephine Lettau Wegman. She was a graduate of Phelps High School. Lorraine was employed as a nurses aide at Taylor-Brown Memorial Hospital and later in Connecticut, where she resided for short a time. She attended the Waterloo Wesleyan Church while living in Seneca Falls and then attended Phelps United Church while residing at Vienna Gardens in Phelps. She is survived by daughter, Diane (Randy) Peters of Waterloo; sons, David (Debbie) Lutz of Ashboro, NC, Thomas (Mary) Lutz of Waterloo, and Jeffrey Wegman of Shortsville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Eileen Wegman of Canandaigua; brother-in-law, Tyrone Stanley, Charleston, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by daughter, Linda Nash; son, Richard Lutz; sister, Corrine Stanley. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
