Seneca Falls - Linda F. Nielsen, 69, of Seneca Falls, died Wednesday (October 1, 2014) at her home. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. A celebration of Linda's life will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 11, 2014) at the Varick Volunteer Fire Dept., 4682 Rt. 96A, Geneva. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Fayette Presbyterian Church, 1063 Rt. 336, Geneva, NY, 14456. Linda was born April 28, 1945 in Geneva, the daughter of Lester and Gladys Heinzman Grove. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. Linda worked as a waitress in Smitty's Restaurant and later, Deluxe Restaurant in Geneva. While married to her former husband, they owned and operated Nielsen Farms/Fingerlakes Fuels. Later, she drove bus for SenecaCayuga ARC. She was also employed at The Polar Freeze and Nielsen Labs. Linda was a long time member of West Fayette Presbyterian Church, where she loved to play the organ. She is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Jody) Nielsen and Michael (Dana) Nielsen both of Geneva, Adam (Melissa) Nielsen of Waterloo, and Nathan (Jessica) Nielsen of Irondiquoit; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Rebecca (Anthony) Kominiarek of Newport, NC; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her father, Lester Grove; mother, Gladys Heinzman Grove Caldwell; step-father, Jack Caldwell; sister, Barbara Gingras; and a live in friend, Mark Lauster.
