Catherine Anne TenEyck
Waterloo - Catherine Anne TenEyck, 84, formerly of 371 E. Main St., Apt. 307, died Monday (June 16, 2014) at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo.
There will be no calling hours. The graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday (June 23) at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. Rev. Thomas Easttey, pastor of Waterloo United Methodist Church, will officiate.
In honor of her years of service as a foster grandparent read or purchase a book for a child.
Catherine was born October 9, 1929 in Clifton Springs, the daughter of Clinton and Ardell Hood Butler. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. After raising her family and babysitting for her grandchildren she worked as a foster grandparent for 16 years in the Waterloo School District.
She is survived by son, Timothy (Cheryl) TenEyck of Waterloo; daughters, Deborah (Jody) Smith, Patricia (Keith Austin) Gotschall, Kelly (John) Henninger, Polly TenEyck, Nancy (William Brownell) Austin all of Waterloo, Amy TenEyck of Seneca Falls; daughters-in-law, Karen (William) Barry of Waterloo and Nancy TenEyck of Weedsport; twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter due in September; brother, Ronald (Shirley) Butler of Waterloo; sisters-in-law, Anne Butler of Geneva, Rose (Don) Patella of Seneca Falls, Ellen TenEyck, Barbara TenEyck, Erdine Spencer, Eileen (Irving) Buchholz all of Waterloo, Maralene Healy of Rochester, Lorraine TenEyck of Florida, Joan (William) Savage of Aurora, Colo; brother-in-law, Albert Allen of Ithaca; and many nieces and nephews; her extended family at Border City School.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Robert C.TenEyck, Sr.; sons Randall P. TenEyck and Robert C. TenEyck; grandson, Bobby Gottschall, III; brothers, Paul, Kenneth, and Jon Butler; and sister, Patricia Allen.
