Obituary of Donald Davis

Donald Ray Davis, Sr., 81, joined his Savior, Jesus, in heaven on April, 18 2014 after a determined struggle with cancer in Geneva, NY. He was born on July 16, 1932 in Summerhill, NY to Ray and Rita Davis. In 1954, he married Alice Louise Waugh. He loved his family and was married to Alice for 59 years.
Don served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Sylvania Electric for 15 years before starting Davis Well and Pump Company where he was a well driller for 48 years. He will be remembered for his tireless customer care and dedication to his craft. He always gave beyond what was expected to make sure his customers were satisfied and also went to great lengths to serve those who couldn't otherwise afford to pay.
Don is survived by his wife, Alice—His children, Don Davis, Jr. (Holly Fowler) of Waterloo, Sherry (Al) Fairbrother of Geneva, Rod (Kandie) Davis of Waterloo, Tricia (Shannon) Brown of Rockford, Illinois—His grandchildren Jason (Bobbie Joe) Davis of Independence, Missouri, Mark (Michelle) Davis of Bellevue, Nebraska and Casey Davis (Amie DeVito) of Clifton Springs; Megan (John) Robbins of Waterloo and Mary (Peter) Bardou of Syracuse; Heather (Corey) Brinckerhoff of Lakeland, Florida; Morgan, Allison, Lindsay, Evan and Grace Brown of Rockford, Illinois—His seven great-grandchildren (and two on the way)—His sister, Beulah Jean Long and brother, Ray (Vaughn) Davis, both of Waterloo—His in-laws, Roger (Wanda) Waugh of Seneca Falls, Shirley (Warner) Fellows of Florida, Janice (David) Farney of Florida, Charles Waugh of Florida and Bobbie (Dean) Chilson of Waterloo.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday (April 21, 2014) at Calvary Chapel in Seneca Falls, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Chapel, 2291 New York 89, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
