Waterloo - Kenneth C. Pierson, 89, of 403 Packwood Rd., died Thursday (February 20, 2014) at home with his loving wife by his side. Friends may call 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 23) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. (Feb. 24) at the funeral home. Rev. Diana Russell, interim pastor of Oaks Corner Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 6, Oaks Corners, NY, 14518 or Waterloo Sportsmans' Club, P.O. Box 269, Waterloo, NY, 13165. Ken was born May 15, 1924 in Waterloo, the son of Ralph C. and Mary Kraft Pierson. He was a 1942 graduate of Waterloo High School. He owned and operated a poultry farm. Ken was in the egg business for 52 years, then he raised chickens "for ready to lay" for other people. He was a member of Waterloo Sportsmans' Club and the Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice D. Pierson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by twin brothers, William and Wellington Pierson.
