Obituary of Margaret Mulford

Phelps - Margaret E. Mulford, 67, of 1992 Melvin Hill Rd., died Saturday (February 15, 2014) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Friends may call 2 p.m to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 18) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 19) at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Rev. Naomi Sorrwar - Randall, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 101 E. William St., Waterloo, 13165; Clifton Springs Hospital Auxiliary, 2 Coulter Rd., Clifton Springs, 14432; or Pathway Home, P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, 13148. Margaret was born Nov. 27, 1946 in Fulton, the daughter of Donald E. and Muriel E. Balcom Keeney. She was a 1966 graduate of Fulton High School. Margaret and her family moved to the Finger Lakes Area in 1981. She was former president and a very active member of Clifton Springs Hospital Auxiliary. She also was a member of Lake City Victoria Chapter 205 Order of the Eastern Star in Oswego. Margaret was a longtime and very active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Women of St. Paul's. She was a former lay reader for the church. She enjoyed playing croquet at the Phelps Historical Society. Margaret also loved camping and scrapbooking. She is survived by her husband, whom she married Feb. 17, 1973, John B. Mulford, III; sons, Ralph D. Mulford of N. Miami, FL and James A. Mulford of Phelps; daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Rosen of Cicero; grandchildren, Brianna, Samantha, and Derek Rosen; her parents, Donald E. and Muriel E. Balcom Keeney of Fulton; sisters, Mary Ellen (David) Canino of DeWitt and Rosemary (Michael) Federici of Fair Haven; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
