SENECA FALLS — Rosemary R. O'Connor, 83, passed away Wednesday (November 22, 2023) at Geneva General Hospital with her loving family by her side. Family and friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 2) at Lake Country Christian Church, 68 Swift St, Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 2) at the church. Rev. Jamison Deacon, pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Food Pantry, 42 East Main Street, Waterloo, NY, 13165. Rosemary was born July 11, 1940, in Venice Center, NY, the daughter of the late Gordon and Racheal Briggs Taylor. She was a cook for many years in various Finger Lakes area restaurants, as well as a nanny, church secretary, and worked for Sampson State Park. For 10 years, Rosemary sang "America the Beautiful" for the Seneca Falls Memorial Day ceremonies. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Seneca Falls and an active member of Lake Country Christian Church in Waterloo. Rosemary was a participant for Walk to Emmaus and was a cook for many of the Walk to Emmaus weekends. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John "Jack" O'Connor; daughter Diane O'Connor of Seneca Falls, NY; son Thomas (Mary) O'Connor of Seneca Falls, NY; sister Laura Cochran of New Hope, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents; and siblings John Taylor, William Taylor, Leslie Taylor, Frances Taylor, and Jane Guy.
