WATERLOO/FAYETTE – Charles Joseph McNeil, III, 75, passed away at his home Monday March 16, 2026 with his family by his side.

Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday March 22nd at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home, Waterloo, NY. The committal service with military honors will be 11 a.m. Monday March 23rd at the NYS Veterans Cemetery – Finger Lakes in Varick, NY. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate.

Charles was born May 6, 1950, in Geneva, NY, the son of Charles Joseph, Jr. and Florence M. Morabito McNeil. He was a 1972 graduate of Geneva High School. Charles was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was employed with the Seneca Army Depot, until the depot closed.

He is survived by his sons Charles "Chuck" D. McNeil and Keith (Sonya Gussler) both of Waterloo, NY; stepdaughters Carri Callahan of MO, Melissa Bruder and Julie Duprey both of Seneca Falls, NY; grandchildren Emily, Katlin, Zoey, and Milania; seven step-grandchildren; wife Cynthia McNeil of Waterloo, NY; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Charles is predeceased by his parents and two brothers Rodney and Donald McNeil.
