SENECA FALLS – Richard N. Gambee, 80, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away at his home Thursday, (December 25, 2025).

Family and friends are invited to call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday (January 8, 2026) at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. The memorial service and burial will be announced at a later time.

Rick was born January 22, 1945, in Waterloo, NY, the son of Lew W. and Thelma L. VanDuser Gambee. He was a 1964 graduate of Romulus Central School, Romulus, NY. Rick earned his Associate's in applied sciences degree in Business Administration of Auburn Community College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1965 -1969. Rick retired after 42 years of employment with Goulds Pumps. Rick was deeply devoted to God and very involved in several local church communities over his lifetime, most recently attending Geneva Christian Fellowship.

Rick was a giving man who was always looking for a way to help, make someone laugh, or just make their day a little better. He was also passionate about many forms of crafting, most recently his woodshop and 3D-printing studio. Late in life, he rediscovered music through the wood flute and attacked it with equal enthusiasm. He even took up crochet to make blankets for many a little one.

Rick was a loving father, devoted father-in-law, absolutely passionate grandfather, and loyal friend.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Benjamin and Jennifer Gambee of Manlius, NY; grandsons Christopher and Jonathan Gambee; sisters June Pardue of Manlius, NY and Jeanne (Robert) Mosher of Waterloo, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Rick was predeceased by his wife Mary L. Gambee; parents; and sister Marcia Dildine.
