WATERLOO — William "Bill" Peter O'Hora, 61, passed away peacefully at home on November 28th, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. In his final days, he was surrounded by everyone he loved most.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 9th from 4 PM to 6 PM at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Bill was a man who found happiness in life's simple pleasures—being on the water, fishing, wildlife photography, and of course pressing his luck at the casino. A devoted lover of music, he found joy in discovering timeless melodies and greater joy still in playing them on his guitar for anyone willing to listen. Above all else, he cherished time with his family and friends--most especially his beloved grandchildren that illuminated his life in ways words cannot capture.

Bill will be remembered for many things. His sense of humor: never missing a chance to make people laugh—often with a joke just on the side of inappropriate. His generous heart: willing to give his all—and more—for anyone who needed him. His empathetic nature: he felt deeply, loved wholeheartedly, and showed up for people in ways that mattered. And—he was a true pushover for his children and grandchildren.

His loss leaves an ache that cannot be measured. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Jacqui; his children Christen (Matt) VanNostrand, Emily (Jim) Palmer, Meghan (Kyle) Gravino, and Tylor (Angela) Hungerford; siblings Patti (Frank) Sczerby, Steve (Deb) O'Hora, Mike (Veronica) O'Hora, and Karen (Tony) DiNatale; his precious 16 grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dearest lifelong friends. He is predeceased by his parents William "Bill" Sr. and Paula O'Hora.

To know Bill, was to love him, was to be cared for and to feel lighter just by being in his presence. May we honor him by living with the same compassion he so effortlessly shared.
