SENECA FALLS — Mary Lou Flynn, 88, passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday (October 14, 2025) at Clifton Springs Hospital, Clifton Springs, NY.

The graveside service for Mary and her husband, William, will be 1 PM Monday, October 27, at NYS Veterans Cemetery – Finger Lakes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County House of Concern, 22 Locust St., Waterloo, NY, 13165.

Mary was born August 8, 1937 in Osceola, PA, the daughter of Seth A. and Ruth M. Johnson Swingle. She was a 1955 graduate of Elkland High School in PA, and started her career as a secretary for the Seneca Co. Chamber of Commerce in the 1960s. She worked for 30 years as an office manager for Padgett Chiropractic in Waterloo, NY. Mary was a member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church for many years and their women's prayer group, as well as a former member of the church choir. Mary loved being around people, even taking time to talk with strangers.

Mary is survived by sons Stephen (Valerie) Flynn of Canandaigua, NY and Mitchell (MaryJo) Flynn of Naples, NY; her beloved grandchildren Jason Flynn, Brenden Flynn, Andrew Flynn and Kaleigh Flynn; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, William L. Flynn, in 2020; her parents; and sister Sally Holleran.
