PENN HILLS, PA/WATERLOO — Louise Janet Rey, 77, passed away Monday (September 15, 2025) at Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA.

Family and friends may call 9 AM to 11 AM Saturday (October 18) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Floyd Marsh, pastor of Harvest Field Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.

Louise was born January 19, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Edward F. and Florence V. Pecor Rey. Louise worked at many healthcare facilities as a nurses’ aide, retiring from Margaret Anna Cusack Care Center in Jersey City, NJ.

Louise is survived by son Angel (Christina Oliver, fiancée) Santana of Blairsville, PA; daughters Eugenia Santana of Lake Alfred, FL and Laura (James) Rodrigues Venable of Bayonne, NJ; 8 grandchildren; brother Edward Rey of NC; and sisters Florence M. Rey of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Barbara (Edward) Roberts of South River, NJ, Kathleen Rey, Mary (Kenneth) Hudson of Hendersonville, NC, Patti Swinehart of Waterloo, NY, Peggy (Raymond) Mateo of Geneva, NY, Mindy (Robert) Urban of Lyons, NY and Michele Huffman of Waterloo, NY.

She was predeceased by her parents; son Gregory Sutton in 2024; brothers Daniel Rey, Robert Rey and Dennis Rey; and sister Colleen T. Rey.
