FAYETTE – Dorothy "Sue" J. Hutchinson, 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday (August 27, 2025) at home with her loving family by her side.

In keeping with Sue's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Sue was born November 17, 1939 in East Waterford, PA, the daughter of Clair and Martha Clayton Allison. She was a 1957 graduate of Huntingdon High School in Orbisonia, PA and spent much of her life as a homemaker, providing for her children.

Sue is survived by her children Wendy (Irfan) Yaran, Rodney (Kathy) Hutchinson, and Timothy (Tiffany Arndt) Hutchinson of Waterloo, NY and Tammy Hutchinson of Geneva, NY; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert (Wink) Allison and Donald Allison of PA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving companion of 44 years, Richard Garrett, in 2023; her parents; and brothers Clyde Allison, Clair Allison and Dean Allison.
