JUNIUS — David A. Fisk, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully Monday (June 9, 2025) at home with his loving family by his side.
David was born September 19, 1944 in Lyons, NY, the son of Everett S. and Pearl Entz Fisk. He was a 1962 graduate of Waterloo Central High School and a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1962-1966. David was self-employed for many years in construction and demolition, and went on to work for 16 years as a senior health safety inspector with the NYS Dept. of Labor. He was a lifetime member of Lyons Memorial Post 5092, V.F.W. and the North Seneca Sportsman's Club. He cherished his time outdoors, whether fishing on the St. Lawrence River, hunting in the Adirondacks, or proudly growing an abundance of potatoes in his garden.
David is survived by his sons, David A. Fisk, Jr. (Yavonne) of Clyde, NY and Daniel L. Fisk of Gainesville, VA; sister Elaine Fisk of Junius, NY; granddaughters Dr. Brittany Fisk and Jessica Fisk (Toby); stepdaughter Marnie (Jeff) Joll of Geneva, NY and her two sons Alex and Maxwell; caregiving companion Brenda Herr of Junius, NY; and longtime family friend Rick Leisenring of Junius, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother Edmund Fisk.
In keeping with David's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lyons Memorial Post 5092, V.F.W, 202 Geneva St., Lyons, NY 14489 and the Junius Volunteer Fire Department, 647 Dublin Road Clyde, NY 14433.
