Please share a memory of Nicholas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
GENEVA — Nicholas Anthony Saracino, 40, passed away Sunday (May 18, 2025) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY with his loving family by his side. In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Finger Lakes Health Foundation, Geneva General Hospital Dialysis Unit, 196 North St., Geneva, NY 14456. Nick was born September 19, 1984 in Waterloo, NY, the son of Ronald Saracino and Cindy Leonard Fratto. Nick lived an extraordinary life in an incredibly unique and enriched kind of way. Though the masses may consider Nick's life to appear tragic, his life was anything but that. Nick may not have made it out of infancy if it weren't for the love and dedication of his beloved parents Ron and Cindy. Nick could not speak and he could not walk, but he could communicate with love and an infectious smile that would completely steal your heart. Nick would raise his fist with an outstretched arm like Superman. It was both adorable and hilarious to witness; it was as if the sound of music such as Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin or 3 Doors Down would motivate and propel Nick into this confident state to strike a pose. Things as sweet and simple as splashing water and colorful helium balloons would bring great joy to Nicholas, aka "Mr. Pickles." Nick is survived by his mother Cindy (Carmen) L. Fratto of Geneva, NY; brothers Thomas (Blanche) Saracino of Waterloo, NY, Daniel (Elizabeth) Saracino of Danby, NY and David Saracino of Canandaigua, NY; sisters Caterina McFadden of Ithaca, NY and Hali Saracino of Honeoye, NY; stepbrothers AJ (Kristen) Fratto of Geneva, NY, Mike (Ann) Fratto of Canandaigua, NY and Matt Fratto of Victor, NY; several loving foster siblings; 3 nieces; and 4 nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald Saracino, in 2008.
