WATERLOO — Richard Edward "Scotty" Scott, 93, passed away peacefully Saturday (March 22, 2025) at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, NY.

Family and friends may call 10 AM to 12 PM Monday (April 7) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. The Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at noon at the funeral home. Rev. Laura Calos of Waterloo United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY.

Scotty was born June 23, 1931, the son of Clarence Scott and Eleanor Olschewske Scott Frantz in Waterloo, NY. He was a 1950 graduate of Waterloo High School. Scotty served as a United States Marine Corps corporal from 1952-1954. After the Marines, Scotty served as a security guard at the Seneca Army Depot. He then worked as a machinist for Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, NY from 1965 until his retirement in December of 1995.

Scotty enjoyed family vacations, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing cards, restoring his 1954 Chevy Bel-Air, painting houses and listening to old time Rock and Roll.

Scotty is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Vivian Scott of Waterloo, NY; sister Sharon Powers of Waterloo, NY; children Randy (Sharon) Scott of Waterloo, NY, Rick (Kay) Scott of Seneca Falls, NY, Chrissan (Gevo) Giovannini of Seneca Falls, NY, and Bob (Jackie) Scott of Lakeview, NY; grandchildren Stacey Scott, Kelli (Nick) Fratto, Daniel (Amanda) O'Neil, Ciara (Gabe) Holden, Josh Decker, Camerin (Matt) Scaglione, and Zee Scott; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
