WATERLOO – Darcy A. Cooper Bogdanovitch, 61, passed away Wednesday (March 19, 2025) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY, with her loving family by her side. Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday (March 28) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. A private service will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Darcy was born February 12, 1964, in Geneva, NY, the daughter of William R. and Kathleen A. Sharp Cooper. She was a 1982 graduate of Waterloo Central High School. Darcy was employed with Zotos International in Geneva, NY for several years. She then was employed with the Waterloo Central High School as a school bus driver. Later she worked for the U.S. Postal Service, as a rural route carrier for the Waterloo Post Office, Waterloo, NY. Darcy was a member of the Little Brown Jug Trap League and the Barge Canal Bass Masters. As an active person she enjoyed, kayaking, canoeing, camping, fishing, and birdwatching. Darcy was a proud Jeep owner. She is survived by husband Robert D. Bogdanovitch; sons Cory (Kayla) Bogdanovitch of Waterloo, NY and Alex Bogdanovitch of Geneva, NY; granddaughter Aubree Porter; parents William R. and Kathleen A. Cooper of Waterloo, NY; sister Corinne (Dean) Ferguson of Geneva, NY; uncle Dale (Kathy) Sharp of Waterloo, NY; aunt Jacklyn Conley of Wildwood, FL; many cousins; niece Samantha (Austin) Clingerman, nephews Jacob and Joseph Ferguson; and special friend Marty Thompson of Fayette, NY.
