WATERLOO — Beatrice Clara (Greenfield) Miller, 93, passed away Saturday (February 8, 2025) at Seneca Nursing Home, Waterloo, NY.
In keeping with Bea's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.
Bea was born February 20, 1931 in Wheeler, NY, the daughter of Benjamin Greenfield and Mary E. McElwain VanGelder. She was a 1949 graduate of Elmira Free Academy, and went on to earn a business degree. She was co-owner of Web's Fish Market in Corning, NY until 1988, waitressed at multiple restaurants, including Pumpernickel, and worked at the deli in Tops Grocery Store. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and grandkids, and working.
Beatrice is survived by her loving daughter, Amy (Eric) Imhoff of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Richard Greenfield, Jr. of Hornell, NY, and Benjamin Greenfield, and Michael and Timothy Imhoff of Waterloo, NY; niece Theresa Frawley of GA; great-niece Faith Findlay of Oswego, NY; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by son Richard "Butch" (Deb Teeter) Greenfield, Sr.; granddaughter Kley Greenfield; niece Mary Jane Findlay; her parents; and sister Evelyn Faulker;
Beatrice had a soft spot for her animals, treating each of them as family, including her dogs Sticks and Snickers. In keeping with her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hulburt's Seneca Nursing and Rehab Center, Elder Care, and Rochester Regional Health Hospice Care for their compassionate care.
