JUNIUS — Leonie Seitz, 90, passed away Sunday (December 8, 2024) at Clifton Springs Hospital in Clifton Springs, NY.

The memorial mass will be 9:30 AM Saturday (May 31) at St. Mary’s Church, 35 Center Street, Waterloo, NY. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Finger Lakes Health Foundation, 196 North Street, Geneva, NY 14456, in support of the Taylor-Brown Auxiliary and Huntington Living Center, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY, 13165, and The American Lung Association, 1595 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY, 14620.

Leonie was born September 16, 1934 in Leforest, France, the daughter of Paul and Stanislava Liebit Wodecki. After some college, she devoted much of her life to her family as a homemaker. Leonie was a longtime member of the Taylor-Brown Auxiliary, and she was especially well-known for her beautiful handwriting.

She is survived by her sons Raymond (Christina) Seitz and Martin Seitz of Waterloo, NY, Bernhard Seitz of Le Roy, NY, and Frank J. Seitz, Jr. of Phelps, NY; grandchildren Thomas Seitz, Nikky (Chris) Contini, Jade Seitz, Amanda (Thomas) Cunningham, Martin (Eonji) Seitz, Jr., Leandra Seitz, Erik Seitz, and Kaitlyn (Anthony) Cipra; great-grandchildren Ellie Contini, Chloe Contini, Ryan Cipra, and Haley Seitz; brother Alfred (Nilda) Wodecki of Sydney, AU; sister Therese Wodecki of Brussels, BE; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by loving husband, Frank Josef Seitz, in 2020; son Peter Seitz; and sister Maria Uhrenbein.
