Mary was born August 1, 1946 in Kingstree, SC, the daughter of Harold Patrick and Sadie Easler McDonald. She was a 1964 graduate of Ovid High School and began employment at Cornell University, then at Seneca Falls National Bank. Mary retired after 25 years of employment from Gould's Pumps in Seneca Falls. Mary attended the Geneva Christian Fellowship. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, enthusiastic grandmother, and the best mother-in-law that a daughter-in-law could ever hope to have. She was a firm believer that most problems could be solved with good food or a quick hem, and excelled at both. Among the many things that Mary loved are South Carolina, cotton fields, the Everly Brothers, football, and social gatherings of any kind. Her grandsons loved the time they were blessed to have with their Nana very much.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, whom she married November 26, 1969, Richard N. Gambee of Seneca Falls, NY; son Benjamin (Jennifer) Gambee of Manlius, NY; grandsons Christopher and Jonathan Gambee; sister Joan Wilen of Geneva, NY; niece Jennifer Scaglia; and nephew Erik Wilen.

She was predeceased by her parents.
