WATERLOO – Joyce V. Deal Marsh, 90, of Waterloo, NY, was received into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday (June 3, 2023) with her devoted husband, adoring children, and loving family by her side.

Family and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday (June 7) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, Waterloo, NY. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday (June 8) at the Harvest Field Baptist Church, 2382 Leader Rd., Fayette, NY. Dr. Floyd Marsh, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be at Restvale Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Field Baptist Church, P.O. Box 176, Fayette, NY, 13065.

Joyce was born September 12, 1932, in Seneca Falls, NY, the daughter of Floyd V. and Dorothy L. Robenolt Deal. She was a 1950 graduate of Waterloo High School. Before embarking on her journey as a military wife, Joyce was employed with the Seneca Knitting Mill. Standing ever faithfully beside Richard, the man of her dreams, whom she married on December 19, 1953, she traveled to Frankfurt, Germany; Fort Riley, Kansas; Mineral Wells, Texas; Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio; Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts, Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska; Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, and then back to Upstate New York.

At each stop along this journey, Joyce lovingly served her family in the home and her Savior, Jesus Christ, in each church she attended as a dependable Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School volunteer, and Nursery worker.

At the end of this earthly journey, Joyce certainly heard as she was welcomed at her eternal destination, Heaven, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.' (Matthew 25:23)

She is survived and tearfully missed by her husband of 69 years of marriage, Richard A. Marsh; children, Monica (Charles) Cole of Columbia, TN, Melody (Kevin) Swartley of Romulus, NY, and Floyd (Rosie) Marsh of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren, Timothy Cole, Danielle (Trey) Jones, Kayla Cole, Kyle (Nicohl) Swartley, Sally (Tony) Whitney, Curtis (Vanessa) Swartley, Kenny Baker, Zachary (Kanyshai) Marsh, and Alexander Marsh; ten great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, William "Will" Kemp of Phelps, NY; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Sharon Kemp.
