WATERLOO – Lorraine A. Veeder, 78, of Waterloo, NY, passed away at her home Friday (March 3, 2023), surrounded loving family.

Family and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday (March 9) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday (March 10) at the funeral home. Dr. Rev. Floyd Marsh, pastor of Harvest Field Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be 12:00 p.m. at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Varick, NY.

Lorraine was born July 17, 1944, in Waterloo, NY, the daughter of Frederick Paul and Sylvia Helen Deal Laube. She was a lifelong resident of the Waterloo area. Lorraine was employed with Allison's Athletic Clothing in Geneva, NY, for 19 years. She worked hard to provide for her family. Lorraine was an active member of Harvest Field Baptist Church. She enjoyed walking in Village of Waterloo with her husband, Gary, before he passed.

She is survived by her children Sam (Tania) Lanza of Buffalo, NY, Michelle (Erick) Cieri of Waterloo, NY and Lisa (Bruce) Lanza-Daughtery of Ten Mile, OR; stepchildren Gerald "Duce" Veeder of Interlaken, NY and Tanya Veeder of Seneca Falls, NY; sister Marge Plate of Waterloo, NY; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her very special canine companion, Maggie.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Gary G. Veeder; granddaughter Jessica Lanza; and stepchildren Robert "Fritz" Veeder and Sally Bolin.
