Obituary of Linda Lee Witt

Junius – Linda L. Witt, 76, of Rochester, formerly of Junius, died Wednesday (Dec. 5, 2018) at Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 13) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Rev. Larry Humphres, pastor of Calvary Church in Newark, NY, will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Phelps, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Linda was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Geneva, NY, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Florence Guest Rosenthal. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. She was employed with HMS Host Marriott at the Junius Thruway Rest Area. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Geneva. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Gerald) Ameele of Seneca Falls, NY; son, Frederick (Chong Hee) Witt of Cornwall, NY; grandchildren, Patrick (Adrienne) Witt, Joshua (fiancee, Sweetie) Witt, Nathan (Molly) Burgdorf, Logan Burgdorf, Morgan (fiance, Sean) Burgdorf, and Katlynn (friend, Eric Matthews) Burgdorf; step-grandchildren, Kelli Jo Ameele and Kailani Ameele; brothers, Richard (Sally) Steele of Dallas, TX and William (Betty) Steele of Waterloo, NY; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald H. Ferrell and second husband, Frederick J. Witt, Sr.; and an infant granddaughter, Katherine Burgdorf.
