Obituary of Marcia Jane Stamp

Waterloo – Marcia J. Hamblin Stamp, 90, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Thursday (November 15, 2018) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 20) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. A memorial service will be in the Spring at the convenience of the family. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of your choice. Marcia was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Carmel, NY, the daughter of Benjamin R. and Winifred Post Hamblin. She was a graduate of Romulus High School. She also graduated from Marion S. Whelan School of Nursing in Geneva, NY. She was employed for many years with Newark Wayne Hospital, retiring in 1998. During her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to travel. She is survived by her children, John R. Stamp of Waterloo, NY, Warren (Arlene) Stamp of Waterloo, NY, Brenda (Eugene) Miller of Camden, MI, Jayne (Thomas) Thompson of Binghamton, NY, Dawn (Thomas) Jeffcoat of Wallace, NC, Cheryl (Thomas) Castellino of Wallace, NC, Milton (Sarah) Stamp of Portland, OR, and Daryl (Gabriele) Stamp of Waterloo, NY; thirty-seven grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
