Obituary of Edward Roy Wolf

Varick/Geneva – Edward R. Wolf, 78, of Varick/Geneva died Saturday (November 10, 2018) at Geneva General Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 14) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Rev. Emily Huyge, pastor of Geneva United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Geneva United Methodist Church, 340 S. Main St., Geneva, NY, 14456. Ed was born July 30, 1940, in Cortland, NY, the son of Louie O. and Betty J. Brown Wolf. He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served from 1960 to 1963. Ed was a farmer for most of his life. He also worked for Willard Drug Treatment Center, retiring after many years of employment. He was a life member of MacDougall Sportsmans Club. Ed was a past member of the Varick Volunteer Fire Department and the Geneva Moose Club. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He is survived by his wife, Carol J. Sherman Wolf; daughters, Nancy (Brent) Murray of Waterloo, NY and Stacey Clark of Geneva, NY; grandson, Lee Wolf; step-grandchildren, Amy (Brent) Naegele, Matthew Murray, and Edward Murray; great-granddaughters, Danica and Colleen; brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Wolf of Dryden, NY, Thomas Wolf of McLean, NY, and Dean (Teresa) Wolf of Groton, NY; sister, Rose Wolf of Groton, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
