When I was growing up and still a child, my family knew Butch and his parents (Big Bill and Rosie) in Pittston, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately my remembrance of Butch when I was 9 year old was of his sexually abusing young children. A pedophile! Butch did that to kids in his neighborhood!

Butch was a friend to Waterloo Little League. Many times I called him last minute and needed Trophies by the end of the week or sooner and he always came through. Sometimes he would come up to the fields just to make sure we didn't forget to order trophies. When a 30-year plaque for a longtime School employee was needed again on short notice Butch was on it. Anytime I delivered to his house or ran into him when we were both delivering to the county office building we always ended up in a 15 minute or longer conversation. Butch was a good man and a friend to this community, he will be dearly missed. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. RIP my friend.
