New Haven/Rochester – Wilma F. Nettleton, 96, of Rochester, formerly of New Haven, NY, passed away Wednesday (October 23, 2018) at Journey Home, Rochester, NY. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (Nov. 9) at Farrell – Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 10) at Journey Christian Church, 3955 Mt. Read Blvd, Rochester, NY. Rev. Barry Lawrence, will officiate. Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday (Nov, 10) at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY, 14626. Wilma was born Feb. 11, 1922, in Volney, NY, the daughter of Alonzo A. and Mary Grace Lawrence Foster. She was a 1940 graduate of Oswego High School and a graduate of Central City Business Institute, Syracuse, NY. Wilma was employed as a secretary at Sealright in Fulton, NY, until she left employment to stay home to raise her family. She was a former member of New Haven United Methodist Church and then the New Haven Congregational Church. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Carol) Nettleton of Rochester, NY and Gregg (Gail) Nettleton of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Brett Nettleton, Brittany (Zack) Forbes, Nicolas (Erin) Nettleton, Katie (Matthew) LaGneses, Matthew Nettleton, and Jamie Nettleton; great-grandchildren, Maximus, Lilyanna, and Zachary LaGnese; many nieces and nephews. Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence A. Nettleton; brothers, A. Lawrence Foster and Roland E. Foster; and sister, Carolyn A. Dutcher.
