Obituary of James Michael Morehouse

Waterloo - With great sadness the family of James M. Morehouse announce his sudden passing on Saturday (June 30, 2018), at the age of 49. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday (July 5th) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. All are invited to attend the memorial mass and celebrate James' life at 10 a.m. Friday (July 6th) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 33 Center St., Waterloo, NY. Rev. Thomas Mull, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Geneva, NY, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one's choice. James was born March 10, 1969, in Waterloo, NY, the son of Ralph "Skip" M. and Ellen O. Baker Morehouse, Jr. He was a 1987 graduate from Waterloo Central School. He worked for many years in the retail sales industry and most recently worked for Save-A-Lot in Auburn, NY. James was a friend to everyone. He love baseball and was a lifelong devoted New York Yankees fan. James also enjoyed classic cars and restoring cars. James will be forever remembered by his mother, Ellen Baker of Waterloo, NY; daughters, Breauna and Isabella Morehouse of Eastlake, OH; sisters, Che'rie (Terry) Shumaker of Canandaigua, NY and Jennifer (Donald) Baker of Waterloo, NY; his nephews, Zachary J. Shumaker of Canandaigua, NY and Jax C. Carpenter of Waterloo, NY; nieces, Natalie E. D'Eredita and Layla C. D'Eredita. Jim was especially close to a core group of friends that he considered family.
