Waterloo - Robert Oland Bennett, Jr. 69, died Thursday (April 6, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, N.Y. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday (April 11) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo, N.Y. The memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one's choice. Robert was born May 28, 1947, in Waterloo, N.Y., the son of Robert O. and Betty TenEyck Bennett, Sr. He served our country in the Army from 1965-1968. Robert was past commander of the Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V.F.W. and former member of the Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion in Waterloo, N.Y. He was employed with Agway in Geneva for many years, before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Norma Bennett; sons, Robert (Shannon) Bennett, Thomas (Alana Norton) Bennett; daughters, Christina (Ron Guererri) Young, and Kathleen Taylor; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Bennett and Larry (Linda) Bennett; sisters Patty (Rich) Holeman and Rosemary (Kirk) Wickard; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, John Bennett and sister, Jackie Schumacher. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
