Obituary of Robert James DePaolis

WATERLOO - Robert "Butch" J. DePaolis, 74, of 75 Mill St., died Tuesday (May 24, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday (May 29) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. Butch was born August 2, 1941, in Geneva, the son of Joseph T. and Elizabeth Sorensen DePaolis. He attended DeSales High School in Geneva. Most of his life he was employed as a commercial truck driver and an auto body repairman. Butch was an avid animal lover. He is survived by his wife, Florence Avery-DePaolis; son, James J. (Doreen) DePaolis of NYC; daughter, Kelly LaVoie of Canandaigua; step-daughter, Kim Avery of Geneva; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brother, Theodore (Shirley) DePaolis of Spartanburg, S.C.; brother-in-law, Thomas (Pat) Avery of Savannah; sister-in-law, Toni (Steve) Patsos of Seneca Falls; four nieces and one nephew.
