Waterloo - Wilver Elaine "Peg" Cooley, 94, of Waterloo, died Wednesday (March 23, 2016) at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. Friends may call from 6 p. to 8 p.m. Tuesday (March 29) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday ( March 30) at the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Rev. Sarah West, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Bellona Cemetery in Bellona, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, 42 E. Main St., Waterloo, NY 13165 or American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14620. Wilver "Peg" was born November 23, 1921 in Bellona, the daughter of Harry F. and Elena M. Smith Robbins. Peg was a 1940 graduate of Geneva High School. She retired in 1982 from Sylvania in Seneca Falls, after 31 years of employment. She was a member of the Sylvania Quarter Century Club and Seneca Falls Elks, B.P.O.E. 992 Auxiliary. Peg was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Peg also enjoyed crafts, bird watching, and traveling. She is survived by husband, James L. Cooley; daughters; Kathleen (Lowell) Izaquirre of Florida and Patricia Lyons of Newark; step-son, George F. (Manuela) Cooley of Waterloo; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons; Thomas and Roger Gurba and daughter; Elaine Gurba. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
