Lyons - Judith (Judy) E. Dubrule (Nee Bond), 75, of Lyons, NY died Tuesday (March 16, 2016) at Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons as the result of complications from a seven year courageous struggle with Parkinson's Plus/ Multiple System Atrophy. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday (March 21) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo. The memorial service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Canoga Cemetery in Fayette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MSA Coalition, 9935-D Rey Rd., Charlotte, N.C. 28277 (www.multiplesystematrophy.org) or the charity of one's choice. Judy was born July 30, 1940 in Ithaca, the daughter of Carmen W. and Ethel Slaght Bond. She was a lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes, which she dearly loved. She was a vibrant, hard working woman with a zest for life and a touch of stubbornness. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, wildlife, country music, interior decorating, crocheting and cooking. She was an avid reader, especially of Louis L'Amour's works. Judy loved clothes and had an impeccable sense of fashion and style. She had a deep regard for nature and enjoyed watching "her" deer and squirrels. Judy had an energy level that was boundless. She should be remembered most, however, as a devoted wife, mother and homemaker for her family, always putting their needs first. She made a loving home for all of us and did so in a fashion that made it look effortless. She was the ultimate nurturer and shepherd in the truest sense. Even as adults, when her children were confronted with a question they didn't know the answer to, the thought that popped into their minds was, "call mom, she'll know". Judy worked at Sylvania/Philips ECG in Seneca Falls for 20 years as secretary to the Plant Engineer, where she kept the Maintenance Dept. running smoothly. She also worked at Elderlee in Oaks Corners, where she once chose to snow shoe to work during a storm. Judy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joseph Dubrule; her daughters, Penny Beck of Cape May, NJ, Patti Beck of Seneca Falls and Pamela (Jeffrey) Soscia of Waterloo; grandson, Brian Roche; step- daughter, Danielle (Michael Charbonneau) Dubrule of Baldwinsville; step-grandson, Timothy Charbonneau; "adopted" daughter, VeLinda Gardner of Marion; special niece, Darlene (Lance) Rousseau of Henrietta; nephews, Douglas Bond of Ontario and Dale Bond of Winter Haven, Fl. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her son, Stephen Beck, step son, Christopher Dubrule, her brother, Robert Bond, first husband, Lynn Beck, the father of her children. The family wishes to thank the staff at Newark Wayne Community Hospital and the Wayne County Nursing Home for the excellent and loving care she received while she was there, especially Dr. Nagpaul, who brought a smile to her face until the very end. They also extend sincere thanks to care givers VeLinda Gardner and Barbara Pullen who made it possible for Judy to remain at home for as long as possible. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
